The trap of sin and death is set with the bait of our own desires, including our good desires. When Jesus teaches us to pray that we would not be lead into temptation, he is teaching us to pray for the grace to resist going any further when we find ourselves being tempted. What does it mean to ‘hallow’ the name of God, and why do we struggle with it so much? There is something built into each one of us that is more driven towards making a name for ourselves rather than God.
